About Sid
I’m Sidney (you can call me Sid), a professional organizer based in Chapel Hill, and for more than 25 years I’ve helped clients create homes that feel calmer, more functional, and easier to maintain.
25 + Years of Helping Homes Feel Lighter
At the end of the day, it all comes down to the same thing. People want their home to feel like a place where they can breathe again.
I’ve spent 26 years organizing homes for people from every walk of life — New York Times bestselling authors, frequent guests on The Oprah Winfrey Show, sports figures, military families, small business owners, single moms, and plenty of everyday households who just needed life to feel a little lighter. I’ve organized through every phase of my own life too, in every place I’ve lived, and those experiences shape the way I show up for my clients today.
My husband, Sam, is a scientist whose career took our family from San Diego, California to Goettingen, Germany, then Jupiter, Florida, Iowa City, Iowa, and finally Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Along the way, we raised two kids who are now nearly grown, and I built my organizing business in every place we landed. I learned how to create order in unfamiliar spaces, how to settle quickly, and how to make a home feel like home again — skills that shape the way I support my clients today.
After years of organizing across the country, I’m now settled in Chapel Hill — our new home. We recently built our dream home here, and it’s the first place that truly feels like where we’re meant to stay. I serve clients throughout Chapel Hill, Durham, Hillsborough, and the Triangle, blending my professional background with the neighborly energy I love so much. Building community here matters to me, and every home I step into feels like another chance to connect
As a professional organizer serving Chapel Hill and Hillsborough, I help clients create homes that feel calmer, more functional, and easier to live in.
My approach is hands‑on, collaborative, and rooted in real life. I don’t believe in perfect homes or rigid systems. I believe in creating spaces that feel calmer, more functional, and easier to live in — systems that fit your personality, your routines, and your season of life. We work together, side by side, making decisions at a pace that feels comfortable and doable.
Organizing isn’t about bins or labels for me. It’s about helping people breathe easier in their own space, creating systems that feel natural, and making daily life simpler and more manageable. If you’re ready for a fresh start, I’d love to help you get there.
